Jamo Presents: SQUINT "BIG HAND" ALBUM RELEASE SHOW AT ATOMIC Sat, Nov 9 2024 Doors: 7:00 pm / Show: 8:00 pm ALL AGES  For fans of: Turnstile, Title Fight, Touché Amoré Squint, a hardcore-punk band from St. Louis, channels anxiety, hope, and frustration in their debut album Big Hand. With influences from punk, hardcore, and 90s alternative rock, the album showcases their evolving sound. Tracks like “Sunshine” reflect their fuzzy hardcore roots, inspired by bands like Rites of Spring and Black Flag, while songs like “Magic” and “Half Asleep” dive into 90s alt-rock vibes reminiscent of Pixies and Third Eye Blind. Produced by Jon Markson, Big Hand captures the tension of time and growth, with vocalist Brennan Wilkinson’s shouted lyrics balancing angst and hope, culminating in the powerful, self-titled track.
